FALMOUTH- Paul “Sean” Hagerty, 52, of Falmouth and formerly Ashland, passed away on Jan 8, 2022 after fighting several severe health issues.

Born in Framingham, he leaves behind his stepfather and mother, Robert and Joan Gonfrade of Ashland; his father and stepmother, Paul and Judith Hagerty of North Conway, NH; his siblings: Kerry (Lance) Spah, Darrin (Michele) Hagerty, Cynthia (James) Lichwell, Joseph (Kimberly) Gonfrade, Jody Chaisson and Jake Chaisson. In addition, he leaves his aunts, Barbara Murphy, Carol Hicks and Yvonne Tuck; his uncles, Michael Hagerty and Peter Hagerty; his cousins, Benjamin (Jenn) Hicks, Stephanie (David) Hirst, Nancy Day, Michael (Debra) Tuck, Kelly Carolyn Marie; and several especially loved nieces and nephews as well as many special lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents; Aunt Lil Gonfrade; uncles, Rick Hicks, Kevin Hagerty and Patrick Hagerty and cousin Jeffrey Tuck.

Sean grew up in Framingham and Ashland.

He worked for Sunshine Dairy, several area Parts Departments and TJ’s before moving to Cape Cod where he worked in the food service business at Falmouth Hospital and area Nursing Homes.

Sean held a special place in many hearts. He loved family, the ocean especially at “Grandma’s” house, reading, winning at cards and cooking for friends and family on the Fourth of July and at Christmas breakfast. His favorite music was from the 60’s, especially The Boss and The Doors. He enjoyed all the Boston sports teams and rarely missed watching the Patriots. He was a very special person, loyal, caring, and would help anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Due to Covid concerns, funeral services will be private with immediate family only.

All other friends and family, please feel free to participate in a drive by of Sean’s interment service on Friday, January 14  by meeting at the entrance to Wildwood Cemetery, 110 Chestnut St. Ashland at 11:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gosnold, Inc., 200 Ter Heun Drive, Falmouth, MA 02540 or to a charity of your choice.

Vehicles attending the drive by of the gravesite will meet at the cemetery entrance between 11:30-11:45am.  Staff will be onsite to line up the vehicles and will lead the procession by the gravesite at the appropriate time.  Please do not exit your vehicle at the gravesite.
