MARLBOROUGH – Charles W. Solari, 85, of Marlborough, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

       Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Lorraine C. (Glassner) Solari.

       Charles was the beloved husband of 58 years to Judith A. (Simm) Solari of Marlborough

       Charles served in the US Army during the Korean War.

       Charles was a parts manager for a heavy equipment company and for the past 20 years he has been the handyman at The Villages of Marlborough East.

        Charles enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, hiking, woodworking, kayaking, biking and bocci. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Marlborough, and Southborough Trail Blazers.

        Besides his wife Judith, he is survived by their daughter Donna Solari of Sudbury; sister of Janice Couture and her husband Robert of Natick; nephews, Craig Couture and his wife Lucy of Natick, and Steven Couture of CA, Michael Winters of NC, Robert Simm, Jr. of TX, Steven Simm of HI, David Simm of UT, Jon Simm of TX, and his niece Judith Winters of TN; grand nephews, Gus, Charlie and Will Couture.

       Services will be private. 

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
