FRAMINGHAM – A popular dog grooming business in Framingham closed its doors to start the new year.

The Holistic Pup, a professional dog grooming business that cared for the mind, body, and soul of pets announced today on social media, it closed its doors on January 1, 2022.

“While we are forever grateful for all of the amazing relationships and successes we have had in the time that we have been open, we regret to inform you that as of January 1st 2022 The Holistic Pup at 584 Water Street in Framingham MA 01701 will be closed indefinitely. All future appointments are canceled. Letters have been mailed to all current clientele,” announced the owners on facebook this morning, January 2.

Founded in June 2020, by owner and master groomer April Lowe, The Holistic Pup operated out of a house on water Street. Opening day at 584 Water Street was in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic on September 9, 2020.

The Holistic Pup was simply a concept created nearly 3 years ago, just as a little side business to get April’s name out there as an up and coming groomer in the area. But after about three years of working nonstop at perfecting her craft she decided it was time. April picked up her shovel and got to work on building her very own shop, quite literally from the ground up. April wanted to build an environment where when you walk in, you know you are in the right place,” states the website.

“We are currently looking into opening a new location and are working diligently to make this happen. We hope that 2022 brings our Holistic Pup family a brick and mortar location where we will have the space and staff to accommodate our wonderful clientele. We will miss your fur babies more than words can describe and truly wish you and your family the absolute best of luck in your future endeavors and hope to work together in the future,” said the company on social media this morning.

The Holistic Pup said anyone who is owed a refund should see it within 90 days and all appointments scheduled have been cancelled.

“We will miss your fur babies more than words can describe and truly wish you and your family the absolute best of luck in your future endeavors and hope to work together in the future,” wrote the owners.
