1 City Hall is closed today to observe Christmas on Saturday.

2. Framingham DPW however will be collecting trash curbside today.

3. There has been a surge of COVID cases in the public school district since Thanksgiving.

COVID cases increased by 53% over the last week in Framingham. There are now 660 active cases in the City.

4. The City allowed residents to register for free Rapid COVID-19 test kits starting yesterday The kits will not be distributed however until December 30 or January 8.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts supplied the 10,000 kits to the City of Framinghm to help stop the surge of COVID cases near the holidays.

Lowell distributed their kits over the weekend. Boston has been delivering their kits all week. Communities like Salem, Brockton, Everett also distributed the kits before Christmas.

5. Framingham Public Library is closed today as well.
