ASHLAND – Rose (Piparo) Reap, 82 of Ashland formerly of North Brunswick, NJ passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, after a brief illness.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Concetta Piparo.

She was the wife of the late John Reap who died in 1992. She was the longtime companion of the late John Haroll, who died in 2004.

Rose was a longtime grocery store front end manager at the Foodtown in New Brunswick until moving to Ashland, to be closer to family. She worked in Nutritional Services with the Ashland School System until retiring in 2016.

Rose is survived by one son, Dr. John J. Reap and his wife Suzanne of Ashland and four grandchildren, Jack, Elise, Grant, and Dean Reap. She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter Teresa Reap, sisters Jean Tanner and Josephine Denker, and brother Charles Piparo. Her warmth, generosity, and welcoming personality meant everyone was a friend and she leaves behind too many to count.

Visiting hours will be held Monday Dec. 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.

A funeral Mass will be held in New Brunswick, NJ at a later date.
