FRAMINGHAM – Irene N. (Guerra) Thompson, age 92, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Genesis Long Term Care Facility in Milford with her family by her side with her family by her side.

She was the wife of the late Richard J. Thompson who died in November 2002.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Eugenio and Mary (Maschi) Guerra.

Irene work for many years at the Dennison Mfg Co. in Framingham in various positions and retired as a supervisor.

She was an active member of St. Andrews Church in Framingham.

She enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan casinos, most of the time coming home a winner. For many years Irene and her husband enjoyed their daily trips to Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 30.

Irene is survived by her sister Angela Angermann of Framingham; nieces and nephews, Paul Angermann of Framingham, Patricia Rose and her husband Peter of Milford, Barbara Daniels and her husband Richard of Mendon, and Debbie Amorelli and her husband Nathan Miller of Upton; great-nieces Ashley Rose and Sandra Rose, and great nephew Christopher Miller and, Michael Rose and his wife Beth and great-great nephews Brandon and Zachary.

Beside her husband Richard, she is previously deceased by sister Carmela Amorelli and brothers-in-laws Vito Amorelli and Harold Angermann.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street on Monday, December 13, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Her funeral service will follow at 11:00AM in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 3 Maple St. (Main St. @ Buckminster Sq.), Framingham.

Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Andrews Discretionary Fund, 3 Maple St. Framingham, MA 01702.
