FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High junior Sam Burgess finished 29th at the national Cross Country Championship race this afternoon, December 11 in California.

The top 10 runners in the East, West, Midwest, and South qualified for the 5K race.

Riley Hough from the Midwest region won the race in 15:11.4 minutes.

The top 40 runners were separated by 76 seconds.

Burgess finished the race in 15:56.4 minutes.
