FRAMINGHAM – Sister Thomasine Knowlton, CSJ, in her 70th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Sunday, December 5, 2021. 

Devoted daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary E. (Walsh) Knowlton, and loving sister of the late Thomas Knowlton.  Sister Thomasine is survived by her cherished nieces, Judith Wright, Faith Huntington, and her nephew, Thomas Knowlton, along with grandnieces, grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Catherine School, Somerville; Matignon High School, N. Cambridge; St. Theresa School, West Roxbury; Marian High School, Framingham; and as a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and President of Cardinal Spellman High School, Brockton for over 36 years.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 637 Cambridge Street, Brighton, Monday, December 13, 2021, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham.

Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home in Framingham.
