FRAMINGHAM – Richard Boehme, 85, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Bear Mountain Nursing Home.

Born and raised in Buffalo area of New York, he was the son of the late William and Ruth (Rogers) Boehme.

Richard was the beloved husband of Hanna (Shearer) Boehme.

The two met in the town of Courtland, NY.  One day Richard invited Hanna to attend a service at the Grace and Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and after a period of courtship, they married.  They both devoted themselves to each other and education.

Richard held a double master’s degree in Library Science and Paleontology. He contributed his expertise in these areas in the library at Framingham State University for many years.

Beside his wife Elaine, he is survived by many friends from St. Andrew’s Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 3 Maple Street in Framingham.

Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.

Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Framingham, MA 01702.
