FRAMINGHAM – Tonight is the start of the Festival of Lights.

A small crowd of about two dozen gathered on the Framingham Centre Common for the first night of Hanukkah.

Congregation Bais Chabad of Framingham installed the menorah. Rabbi Yakov Lazaros lit the first candle.

In attendance was Mayor Yvonne Spicer, Mayor-elect Charlie Sisitsky and his wife Robin, School Committee Chair Adam Freudberg, District 4 City Councilor Michael cannon, District 1 School Committee member Beverly Hugo. SIFOC Vice Chair Mary Kate Feeney and Disability Commission Chair Sheryl Goldstein.
