FRAMINGHAM – Unlike last year, many families are gathering this year for Thanksgiving dinner, thanks to the vaccines that became available in 2021 for COVID-19.

Federal, state, and municipal offices, including the City of Framingham’s Memorial Building are closed on Thursday. Framingham City Hall is also closed on Friday, November 26.

Marlborough City Hall is closed.

Ashland and Natick Town Halls are also closed.

There is no curbside trash or recycling collection on Thursday in Framingham. Framingham DPW will be on a one-day delayed scheduled for collection the rest of the week.

Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery and Amazon available, but no home delivery.

Supermarkets: Most are closed, including Market Basket..

Convenience stores: Many are open, as are some CVS and Walgreens.

Banks: Closed.

Stock market: Closed

Movie Theatres: Open.

Retail: Target and major other retailers will have their brick & mortar locations closed, but many are starting big holiday sales online.
