FRAMINGHAM –  Massachusetts’s average gas price is up 1 cent from last week ($3.41), averaging $3.42 per gallon, according to AAA Northeast.

Today’s price is 8 cents higher than a month ago ($3.34), and $1.35 higher than November 22, 2020 ($2.07).

Massachusetts’s average gas price is 2 cents higher than the national average.

“The price of crude oil accounts for about 50%–60% of what consumers pay at the pump, so a lower oil price could eventually translate into better gasoline prices for drivers,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Government Affairs at AAA Northeast, in a press release.

AAA Northeast’s November 22 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be 1 cent lower than last week ($3.41), averaging $3.40 a gallon. Today’s national average price is 3 cents higher than a month ago ($3.37), and $1.29 higher than this day last year ($2.11).
