ARLINGTON – A Framingham woman, 29, was arrested by Arlington Police over the weekend after she pulled a machete on a cab driver.

Arlington Police arrested Britany Goldberg, 29, of Framingham on Saturday, November 13. She was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and fare evasion

Just before 9 p.m. police responded to 1521 Massachusetts Avenue for an assault.

A male cab driver told police a woman with a knife refused to pay her $22 fare.

The cab driver said he picked up the woman in Harvard square and was told to drive to the Town of Lexington.

But in Arlington, the woman asked the cab driver to stop. The cab driver told police he told her she owned $22. The driver told police she refused and then pulled out a machete and pointed it at the driver and she she was not paying.

The driver told police as he felt threatened he left the vehicle.

Police located the woman a while later. The driver identified the woman, and she was arrested.

Goldberg also has an outstanding warrant out of Ohio for assault to murder, assault and battery with dangerous weapon and possession of cocaine.
