FRAMINGHAM – After receiving the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference’s (MASCAC) automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament, the 2021 MASCAC Champion Framingham State Rams will be facing Muhlenburg College in Allentown, PA in a first round game on Saturday, November 20.

 The Rams will be making their sixth overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their third straight.     

Framingham State finished the 2021 regular season 8-2 overall and a perfect 8-0 in MASCAC action with the key victory of the season coming in week 10 when the Rams defeated Bridgewater State 47-13 to secure their third straight outright league title.

The 2021 Rams defense led MASCAC in with the fewest yards allowed per game (207.1), fewest rush yards allowed per game (62.7) and sacks (32). The Ram offense ranked second in the league in points (306), total offense (4050) and yards per game (405.0). 

This will be the first meeting between Framingham State and Muhlenburg. 

Muhlenburg clinched its third straight Centennial Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament berth with their victory this past Saturday.  The Mules finished the 2021 season 9-1 overall and 8-1 in league play to earn the automatic bid.
