FRAMINGHAM – Senior outside hitter Brandee Thomas (North Kingstown, RI) and sophomore middle hitter Hailey Sanders (Franklin) have been selected to the 2021 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball All-MASCAC First Team.

Graduate student Morgan Failla (Providence, RI) and freshman outside hitter Valerie Sullivan (Buffalo, NY) have been selected Second Team All-MASCAC in voting conducted by the league’s coaches and announced by the MASCAC office.

Thomas, a three-time All-MASCAC first team selection, finished the season in the top five in the MASCAC for both kills and digs.  Thomas ranked second in the league in kills (311) and fourth in digs (394).  She averaged just under 10 kills and 12 digs per match this season. 

Sanders, a second team All-MASCAC selection in 2019, led the MASCAC in blocks (78) and solo blocks (49), while also ranking second in hitting percentage (.302) and fourth in kills with 295. 

 Failla earns All-MASCAC honors for the first time during her final season with the Rams. She finished the year ranked third in the league in set assists (669) and seventh in service aces (42). Failla also recorded 222 digs on the year.

Sullivan earns her first All-MASCAC honors after tallying 302 kills during her rookie season, which ranked third in the league.  Sullivan hit .162 on the year and averaged just over nine kills per match. 

The 2021 Rams finished the season 17-15 overall and 5-2 in the MASCAC.

The Rams earned the third seed in the MASCAC Tournament and defeated top seed Worcester State 3-2 in the finals earning the league’s automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship.
