Online Pre-Registration For Kindergarten & Framingham Class of 2035

FRAMINGHAM – Families who have a child or children that will be five years old by August 31, 2022 are invited to pre-register their incoming Kindergarteners online.

The Parent Information Center (PIC) is now called the Department of Student Registration. Located at the Farley Building in the growing Welcome Center, the department has been renamed to align with their primary function.

Please see below for a timeline and summary of the Kindergarten registration process that all families must go through before a child can begin their academic career in Framingham Public Schools.

1. Online pre-registration (Now – April 7, 2022)
2. Schedule a phone appointment with the Department of Student Registration (December 6, 2021 – April 7, 2022)
3. Attend Virtual Kindergarten Information Day Event (January 10, 2022)
4. School Tours (March 2022)
5. Receive school assignment by May 13, 2022
6. Confirm your school placement with the Department of Student Registration by May 20, 2022
7. Kindergarten Orientation on June 1, 2022

Framingham Public Schools in collaboration with our community partners, the MetroWest YMCA and Framingham State University Centers for Early Childhood Education, are offering a brand new Preschool Expansion Program.

This partnership will be enrolling 4 year-old children who’ve not yet had access to early learning opportunities and provides access to high quality pre-k education before they start Kindergarten next year.

The program begins in early 2022 and offers financial assistance based on family need.
