FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High senior swimmers Laura Dube and Trinity Trainor won individuals titles at the MIAA Sectional swim meet this weekend.

Dube won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.48 minutes.

Trainor won the 50-yard freestyler event in 24.70 seconds.

Bay State Conference rival Wellesley High won its fourth consecutive South sectional title at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Fans were not allowed at the swim meet due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Needham High was second with Brookline High third.

Framingham swimmers Dube, Norah Pham, Trainor and Ashwina Bangari set a new Framingham High record in the 400-yeard freestyle relay. Their time was 3:42.50.

The old Framingham High record was 3:43.08 set on November 19, 2014 by Kara McCurdy, Ali Lie, Devon Tice, and Maddie Biron.
