FRAMINGHAM – Two people were seriously injured in a crash Saturday night, November 6.
Framingham Police & Framingham Fire responded to the crash about 11 p.m. on Woodmere Road. Framingham Tower 1, Rescue 1, Engine 1, and two ambulances from Brewster responded to the crash.
“This was a single car accident into a tree,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.
A portion of the tree fell on to the vehicle, after the head-on crash, according to Framingham Fire.

The driver, a man, had to be extricated from the vehicle. He suffered multiple injuries, include a wrist and hand fracture, and possible leg fracture, according to the Fire report.
The fire report said both were “unrestrained” and air bags were deployed in the vehicle.
The woman, in the passenger seat, suffered leg trauma and other fractures.
A medical helicopter was requested, but since the estimated time of arrival exceeded 20 minutes, the two individuals were transported by ambulance to the trauma center at UMass Worcester.

The driver was cited, said Lt. Mickens.
Firefighters after extricated the two individuals in the vehicle has to use a saw to remove the tree from vehicle so the vehicle could be removed, said the fire report.
Two people were transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
