FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls soccer team game to an end Sunday night at Bowditch Field in the second round of the MIAA Division 1 tournament.

The game was tied 1-1 after two overtimes, so the winner was decided by penalty kicks, with the Scarlet Knights victorious.

North Andover sophomore Erika Wojcik scored the game-winning penalty kick, to give the Scarlet Knights the 2-1 win.

The Scarlet Knights were 4-2 on penalty kicks.

The #17 seed now advances to the round of 32 teams and will play #1-ranked Hingham High on Tuesday, November 9.

Bay State Conference teams Needham, Natick, & Wellesley, all ranked in the top 12, are still in the Division 1 tourney.

The #16-ranked Flyers end their season tonight, before a large crowd at Bowditch Field

Framingham senior captain Brooke Haarala scored the only goal for the Flyers. She scored about 9 minutes into the the game.

With 13 minutes to go in the first half, North Andover tied it up.

It was 1-1 at halftime, and stayed that way through two double overtimes.

Flyers left everything on the field Sunday night, and their season came to an end with a 10-6-3 record.
