DEVENS – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team finished fifth at the 2021 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Cross Country Championship at Willard Park at the Devens Recreational facility.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams were led in the race by junior Elizabeth Dykstra (Sutton.) who completed the 5K course in a time of 21:15 good for 11th overall.  
  • Sophomore Gwen Madden (Raynham) crossed next for the Rams with a time of 22:10 which was 17th overall followed by junior Kathryn Hayes (Dedham) at 22:52.  
  • Sophomore Camille Carvalho (Spencer) finished two spots behind Hayes at 22:56 followed two spots later by Amanda Bedard (Paxton) at 23:03.

  • Kammarie Pelland (Fitchburg) and freshman Leah Chace (East Greenwich, RI) weren’t far behind at 23:59 and 25:11. 
  • Junior Emily Newcomb (Raynham.) and senior Brenna Fehan (Plymouth.) crossed at 26:00 and 26:43 just before junior Kathleen Moore (Westford.) rounded out the Rams with a time of 31:19. 

UP NEXT:  The Rams are back in action in two weeks at the 2021 NCAA Div. III Regional in Boston.
