HOLLISTON – Janice A. Hathaway, 74, of Holliston passed away Saturday Oct. 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. 

Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Geraldine (Leone) Keegan and wife of the late Howard C. Hathaway Jr. who died in 2015. 

A resident of Holliston for 46 years, Janice worked as a dedicated registered nurse with Baypath Elder Services for many years retiring in June of 2021. 

She was active with the American Legion Post 77 Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed golfing with her husband Howie, and was an avid reader.

Mrs. Hathaway is survived by two daughters; Jen Hathaway and her partner Brittany of Halfmoon, NY; and Karen Trilligan of Auburn; four grandchildren, Kayla Hathaway, and Bailey, Grady, and Aidyn Rose Trilligan, sister Marie Kelly, two brothers, Raymond and Charles Keegan, sister-in-law Joanie Buchan, best friend Jan Chiampa, and her grand-pups Sadie and Murphy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia Parish, 54 Esty Street in Ashland, with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. 

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street Ashland.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
