Newton almost tied the game at 1-1 but the referee called back the goal, as the ball hit the crossbar, then the field goal, before crossing the goal line.

Brooke Haarala scored the insurance goal with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Flyers also had a goal called back during the game in Newton. The referee ruled that the goalie was out of bounds when she deflected the ball back onto the field.
