I support the re-election of Mayor Spicer, as she has accomplished much in her first term, dedicated to all the people of Framingham.

Framingham’s first mayor has successfully led a complicated transition from town to city government, endured a sometimes hostile and uncooperative City Council, dealt with longtime
existing issues, as well as a severe pandemic.

While tirelessly committed to working for our community benefit, Mayor Spicer used her influence and outreach at the state to secure COVID testing sites locally and mounted a city-wide public health drive to educate residents on safety, local contact tracing and the necessity of vaccinations, resulting in a high percent vaccinated. Her collaborative advocacy brings funding directly to our city.

Despite the pandemic our city financial bond rating has remained stable at Aa2.

She has been subjected to some harsh criticism; much is based on misinformation rather than facts. As Mayor, our school budget has increased 15.2%, or $19.4 million and our school department budget finished the past year with a $6 million surplus!

Please join me in Voting to re-elect Mayor Yvonne Spicer November 2.
