FRAMINGHAM – Geraldine “Gerri” Doris (Bowen) McPhee, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021.  

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Clarence B. Bowen, Sr. and Rose C. (Esposito) Bowen. Geraldine is survived by her sister, Theresa Hill of Osterville, and her brother, Clarence Bowen, Jr., of Loveland, CO.  She is predeceased by her brother, William Bowen, and her sisters, Ida Statile, Eleanor Yackulich, and Antoinette Teffenhart.  

Geraldine was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Francis “Mickey” J.  McPhee, who passed away in November 2019, her true love for 65 wonderful years. 

She graduated from Framingham High School.

Upon graduation, she then worked at General Motors Corporation in Framingham, where she met the love of her life, Francis. They were married and raised their family in Framingham, among many wonderful neighbors and friends. Nothing brought her greater joy, than the love she had for her family. Geraldine was recognized for 20 years of faithful and dedicated service as an Executive Administrative Assistant for The ACCEPT Education Collaborative and she retired in 1996.

She cherished beautiful memories of family vacations on Cape Cod and hosting holiday gatherings at home with family.  

Her Catholic faith played an active role in her life, and she was a devoted parishioner of St. Bridget Church in Framingham.  

Geraldine was the beloved mother of four children, Michael McPhee and his wife, Suzanne, of Marlborough, Maureen McKinnon and her husband, Keith, of Marlborough, Robert McPhee and his wife Tammy, of Franklin and Richard McPhee of Los Angeles, CA. She was an adoring Nana to her five grandchildren, Christian and Jacqueline McKinnon, and Nicholas, Kelsey Rose, and Kylie McPhee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9:30to 10:30 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham.  

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA 01702 on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Southborough.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the charity of the one’s choice.
