FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School District announced it has formed the Screening Committees for the position of Assistant Superintendent of Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement. 

The process for the Assistant Superintendent for Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement search will be as follows. In addition to the individuals noted below every Screening Committee will be joined by a Diversity Advocate. 

Round 1: Initial Candidate Screening Committee: Members of this important committee will establish the key characteristics of an Assistant Superintendent for Equity, Diversity, and Community Development, using the input from the Focus Group Survey, review resumes and applications, and recommend initial candidates who will proceed to Round 2.

Round 2: Stakeholder Screening Committees: Members of these three screening committees will each develop interview questions based on the key characteristics established in Round 1 and interview the candidates put forth by the Initial Candidate Screening Committee. They will make recommendations for Round 3. Interviews of candidates are anticipated to begin mid November. The following individuals have generously donated their time to participate in this essential part of the process:

Round 3 interviews will be conducted by the Superintendent of Schools and his Cabinet.

Finalists from that Round will attend a public Community Forum that will be held virtually in the beginning of December. Feedback from the Forum will advise the Superintendent of a decision for the Assistant Superintendent of Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement.
