BOSTON – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team returned to the trails Saturday, October 16, with a strong performance at the Suffolk Invitational finishing in 15th place at Franklin Park in Boston.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • The Rams were led in the race by freshman Leah Chace (East Greenwich, RI) who completed the 6K course in a time of 28:06.
  • Junior Kathryn Hayes (Dedham) and Elizabeth Dykstra (Sutton) followed for the Rams just five places apart at 28:39 and 29:08.

  • Finishing next for the Rams was Emily Steele (Foxborough) with a time of 30:15, while Amanda Bedard (Paxton) and Kammarie Pelland (Fitchburg) were close behind at 30:50 and 31:29.
  • Junior Emily Newcomb (Raynham) rounded out the top six for the Rams with a time of 32:50.

UP NEXT: The Rams next compete in two weeks at the MASCAC Championships hosted by Fitchburg State.
