FRAMINGHAM – Joseph Paul Robinshaw, 80, of Framingham passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 11, 2021. Son of the late Joseph and Barbara Robinshaw.
He was born in Waltham, on October 15,1940.
Beloved husband of Norma Robinshaw (Littlehale) for 56 wonderful years and cherished father of Suzanne Harrington and her husband Laurence of Hingham, Amy Cloutier and her husband Timmy of Methuen and Andrew Robinshaw of Sarasota, Florida. Dearest brother to James Robinshaw and wife Patricia of Sorrento, Florida and loving big brother to Sheila Bennett of Framingham. Proud Papa of Heather Rose and wife Darcy of Gorham, Maine, Thomas Bird of Marlborough, Reagan Bistany of Methuen and Carter Bistany of Methuen. Treasured Great-Grandfather of Camden and Meadowsweet Rose of Gorham, Maine.
Joe grew up in Waltham and graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1958. He served his country proudly for four years in the US Airforce.
After retirement from NCR as a systems analyst, he enjoyed his love of golf by working as starter at the Millwood Golf Course and Marlborough Country Club.
Joseph was a dedicated member of his community where he spent countless years volunteering with a variety of programs from the PBS Auction to the Salvation Army and so many more. He became a local legend as the Greeter at Saint Anslem Church for over 40 years.
Joe was a dedicated New England Sports fan. His generosity, love for life and dedication to his family will be deeply missed.
Visitation service will be at Saint Anslem,100 Landham Road in Sudbury, on Sunday October 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. and a memorial Mass will be held on Monday October 18 at 11 a.m.
Interment will be held privately at the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham at a future date.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Duckett Funeral Home of JS Waterman and Sons in Sudbury.
Flowers or a memorial contribution may be made to St. Anslem church in his name.
