FRAMINGHAM – Today, October 11, was the 125th running of the Boston Marathon.
The last marathon was run in April 2019. The Coronavirus pandemic cancelled the 2020 marathon, and pushed back the 2021 marathon from Patriots’ Day to Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day.
The field for the in-person Boston Marathon today was limited to 20,000, but that did include all 22 members of Team Framingham.
Team Framingham founder Mike Bower was among the 70,000 runners who did the Boston Marathon virtually between October 8 and October 10. Bower ran the actual course to complete his 25th marathon lifetime.
Bower told SOURCE that all 22 Team Framingham runners cross the finished line today.

Not all of their times were available, and a couple of the Team Framingham runners finished after the 6 hour limit set by the Boston Athletic Association. Those runners get a medal but their official time is not recorded as finished.
Framingham resident Christina Soutter, who was running to raise funds for the #WhyNotDevin Foundation, finished the 26.2 mile course in 4 hours and 33.50 minutes.
Team Framingham’s fastest runner was Keefe Tech teacher and cross-country coach Jeff Beling. His time was 3 hours and 4 minutes.
Team Framingham runner Lisa Burgess finished the race in 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Greater Framingham Running Club member Susin Carlson finished just under 5 hours. Miek Carlson finished in 4 hours and 35 minutes.
Framingham resident Daniel Napierski, competing in his first-ever marathon finished in 4 hours and 43.50 minutes.
School Committee member Priscila Sousa and her mother Luciana was the fastest mother-daughter team for Framingham today. Mom Luciana finished in five hours and 12.09 minutes. Priscila finished in hours and 40 minutes.
District 2 City Councilor’s husband Jeff Stewart-Morales, also a member of Team Framingham, finished the race in 4 hours and 39.56 minutes.
