FRAMINGHAM – The Christa McAuliffe Charter School, a tuition-free, charter public school for students in grades 6-8, is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year.
McAuliffe is the only charter public school in Framingham. As a credentialed EL Education school, McAuliffe provides a project-based, hands-on curriculum that encourages team-building and collaboration with peers. Teachers emphasize students’ development of character and habits of work and learning with an aim for students to be upstanders who contribute to building a better world.
“I like that my scholar takes responsibility for her learning and is able to identify her strengths and weaknesses. This is such an important skill to learn and carry with her through high school and beyond,” said a McAuliffe Parent
“During turbulent times, adventure-based learning allows our scholars to grow together, strengthening not only their sense of self but also their relationship to others,” said Frank Tipton, Executive Director
As a charter public school, students are accepted based on a blind, public lottery with the only
preference going to applicants who are siblings of students currently attending the school.
There is no admission fee or tuition. Massachusetts families with current fifth, sixth, and seventh graders may submit a lottery application at www.mcauliffecharter.org/apply.
