FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys soccer team defeated the newly-named Timberwolves of Walpole High 2-0 today, September 30.

The Flyers are now 6-0-1, under head coach Dan Avery.

Framingham plays St. John;s on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Today, Christian Martins opened the scoring early on a beautiful assist from sophomore Brendan Walker, said Coach Jon Wood.

The Flyers quickly added to the lead on a great shot to the far post from senior Kaio Viegas, said Coach Wood.

“Defensively, senior captain John Halpin and junior Tyler Knox kept Walpole at bay and helped earn junior goalie Tyler Ingham the shutout,” said Coach Wood.

“Junior midfielders Gilberto Morales and Liam Gilbert controlled the middle of the field and dictated the pace of the game. They were outstanding,” said Coach Wood.
