FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested two men from Washington DC in the parking lot of a Framingham pub last night, September 21, and charged them with drug distribution. A loaded .44 revolver was also recovered from one of the men arrested.

“Officers were dispatched to the area for a report of active drug dealing in the parking lot,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

At the parking lot of the Sports Pub & Lounge at 1186 Worcester Road, police arrested two men just before 8 p.m.

Arrested was Dejion Bates, 21, of 2812 Buena Vista Terrace South East of Washington DC. He was charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug. assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.

Police also arrested Robert Harper III, 38, of 1337 Congress South East of Washington DC. He was charged with possession to distribute a Class A drug.

“During the investigation Bates struck an officer with the door of the motor vehicle he was in,” said Lt. Mickens.

“While being placed under arrest he pushed the officer several times and attempted to get away before being handcuffed,” said Lt. Mickens.

Police located a loaded .44 revolver on Bates, said Lt. Mickens.

Police officers also discovered in the vehicle “several fentanyl pills, 1.75 g of fentanyl, drug packaging materials, scales and cash,” said Lt. Mickens.
