WESTFIELD – Westfield State senior Jenn Rennich (Bedford) tallied a hat trick as the Owls (3-3-1) rolled to victory over Framingham State, 7-0, in a conference clash on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field in Westfield, Mass.

Rennich scored her first of the game just prior to the half off of a corner kick that was set up by Owls defenders Grace McDermott (Weymouth) and Jaida Cochran (Middleboro).

Cochran recorded the first goal of the game for the Owls at the 26th minute and put the finishing touches on the game with the seventh goal of the afternoon. She also added two assists to her total. First-year forward Delaney Parker (Orange) scored her MASCAC-leading eighth goal of the year at the 30th minute, while also tacking on an assist on Cochran’s opening goal.

The Owls poured it on in the second half, scoring four second half goals including back-to-back from Rennich just five minutes apart at the 60th and 65th minute. Sophomore midfielder Janelle Schulman (Charlton) scored her first career goal as an Owl at the 85th minute.

Rams starting goalie Jetta Oskirko (Lancaster) saved eleven shots on net, while substitute goalie Sarah Lutsic (Sandwich) added three saves.

Owls goalkeeper Lauryn Davis (Templeton) stopped all four shots on net and back-up Sarah Fuller (Weymouth) stopped both shots on goal.

The Owls piled up a staggering 38 shots to Framingham’s 10, while leading the Rams in shots on net 14-6.

The Rams (2-4-1) will face Gordon on the road on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
