NEWTON – The Tigers of Newton North High School defeated the Framingham High boys cross-country team on the Cold Springs North course in Newton.

The Tigers won 22-33.

But the Flyers defeated the Needham Rockets 22-39.

The Flyers have defeated Needham every year since 2007.

Framingham junior Sam Burgess won the race in 15.46 minutes.

Newton North junior Tyler Tubman finished second at 15.59 minutes

Newton North took second, third, and fourth place overall.

Framingham senior Shand Seiffert finished sixth overall in 16.57 minutes. He was the second fastest Flyer.

Framingham senior Arnav Singh finished 10th overall at 17.07 minutes. He was third fastest Flyer today.

Ryan Gaglione finished fourth overall for the Flyers. His time of 17.25 minutes placed 11th overall.

Andrew Hohenstein finished fifth for the Flyers in 17.29 minutes. He was 12th overall.

Seniors Jordan Spector and Jordan Book finished 14th & 14th overall.

The Flyers will host Brookline & Braintree on Wednesday, September 22 at Farm Pond Park.
