ASHLAND – Oswald “Ozzie” Iarussi, 94, of Ashland, died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 10, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Born in Roccaraso, Italy on June 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Marco and Louisa (D’Amico) Iarussi, and beloved husband of Mary Ann (Pimentel) Iarussi. Ozzie graduated from Framingham High School in 1945, and was drafted by the United States Army in 1946, serving his country honorably.
Ozzie was a master electrician until he retired at the age of 57 to focus on his true passion: family. Whether it was attending weekly dances with his wife, Mary Ann, playing cribbage, cooking, visiting his cottage on Cape Cod, hosting Soup to Nuts on Ashland Public Access, volunteering at the Ashland Senior Center, or attending mass at St. Cecilia’s Parish, it was always about family. A true patriarch in every sense of the word, and a devout Catholic, Ozzie will be greatly missed. Arrivederci.
