FRAMINGHAM – Families from Framingham and MetroWest are invited to a car seat safety event at the Walmart in Framingham last this month.

The free event will be held at 121 Worcester Road on September 25,from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Members of the Massachusetts State Police Traffic Programs Section and the Framingham Police and Fire Departments will inspect car seats installed in vehicles and correct any errors in installation.

Officers and Troopers will also educate families about car seat safety, whether their specific car seat may have been recalled, and whether the car seat they have is the right for age and weight of their child.

This event is presented by the Massachusetts State Police Troop H, Traffic Programs Section and Community Liaison Team; Walmart; Framingham Police and Framingham Fire Department.
