MARLBOROUGH – Edward A. Krikorian, 75, of Marlborough died Tuesday September 7, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester
. He was the husband of Carole (Beard) Krikorian for the past 44 years.
He was born in Medford, the son of the late Samuel and Katherine (Holston) Krikorian and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1965.
He proudly served in the 167 Signal Corps of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Ed worked at Digital Equipment Corporation as a Field Technician and Product Manager for many years, often traveling abroad for work to Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Hong Kong, and Australia. He worked in several sales positions throughout the 1990s before returning to his passion in field tech, where he retired from RISO fixing printers for 10 years.
He was an avid golfer, something that retirement allowed him to indulge in throughout the summer months. We suspect he and Carole took up a Florida residency a few years ago purely so that he could golf year round (and he did). He also loved to travel, particularly to Aruba, where he and his wife would make it a point to visit every year for over 10 years. However, at the end of the day (or sometimes the middle), it seemed his favorite thing to do was to sit by his pool with a cigar in one hand and a bourbon and ginger in the other.
Besides his wife Carole, he leaves behind his daughter Jennifer Dunn and son David Krikorian; a brother Samuel Krikorian of Tewksbury and two sisters Linda Krikorian and Kathy Garner both of Medford; as well as his son-in-law Brad and two grandchildren, Kaylie and Wyatt.
Calling hours will be held Monday September 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
Private burial with Military Honors will be held in Vermont.
All are invited to sign his online guestbook at www.collinsfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to either the Yellow Ribbon Fund or the Gary Sinise Foundation would be appreciated.
