FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Firefighters union is endorsing Mary Kate Feeney for District 3 City Councilor.
Feeney is challenging City Council Vice Chair Adam Steiner, who has represented District 3 since 2018.
“Local 1652 is pleased to announce the endorsement of Mary-Kate Feeney for District 3 City Councilor. Mary-Kate understands the issues the affect firefighters and the City of Framingham. She has a proven history of putting the Citizens of Framingham and their issues first. Mary-Kate will bring her wealth of experience to the City Council and help make a difference day one for the citizens of District 3,” said Andrew Rokes, President Local 1652 Framingham Firefighters.
“As the proud granddaughter and niece of firefighters, I am humbled by today’s endorsement from the Framingham Firefighters Local 1652. The men and women of the FFD, and their families, give of themselves in service of our community. They deserve a Councilor who has their back, ensuring they have the equipment and resources they need to keep our fellow neighbors and city safe,” said Feeney.
Voters will elect a District 3 City Councilor for a 2-year term on Tuesday, November 2.
