FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a man on robbery & assault charges Tuesday night, August 31 at 5:45 p.m. in downtown Framingham.

Arrested was Thomas W. Benjamin, 54, with no known address. He was charged with unarmed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault & battery (hands).

This assault occurred Sunday night between individuals who are known to each other,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“The victim was struck and kicked by Benjamin during this incident and had approximately $100 taken,” said Lt. Mickens.

The victim suffered minor injuries, said Lt. Mickens.
