FRAMINGHAM – Mayor Yvonne Spicer has re-nominated District 3 resident Stephen Greeley to the Framingham Historic District Commission.

The Historic District Commission preserves the character of designated historic districts in
Framingham through a review/advisory process.

Greeley has served on the Commission since 2014.

The City Council, the legislative branch of city government, needs to approve the mayoral appointment. If no action is taken in 30 days, Greeley is re-appointed.

Greeley’s nomination is for a term to end in June 2024.

A majority vote of the 11-member City Council is needed for approval.

Greeley in his application wrote he has “two extended terms as chair, which included leading
successful efforts to create new historic districts and expand existing ones.”

He wrote in his application he lives in District 7, but he lives at 111 Pleasant Street which is District 3.

All of the members of the Commission come from 3 Districts 1-3-5. Seven members, including Greeley, all come from District 3.
