FRAMINGHAM – Police have closed Route 9 at Route 126 due to the flooding.

Seek alternative route.

Many roads in the City of Framingham have localized flooding.

A flash flood warning has been issued until 2 p.m., as the area is expected to get more than 1.5 inches of rain with this storm.

The intersection of Route 9 and Route 126 is notorious for flooding in heavy rains. It has been flooding for decades. The road is maintained by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

A design in in the works to fix the drainage problems at the intersection.
