FRAMINGHAM – The Ashland Public Library on Front Street will be closed on Friday, August 20, due to flooding caused by the heavy rains today.

Tropical Storm Fred rolled through Ashland and MetroWest today dropping more than 2.5 inches of rain and flooding main streets and roads.

The Ashland Public Library plans to re-open on Saturday, August 21, but the children’s section will be closed on Saturday.

The children’s section of the Ashland library experienced the flood damage.
