ASHLAND – Pauline Alice Slopek, 83, longtime resident of Ashland, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 7, 2021.

Born in North Adams, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Jacques) Tibbals and William Tibbals. She was married to the love of her life, Henry Slopek, for 62 years.

Before she retired, Pauline was a dedicated Human Resources Administrator at Bose Corporation for 25 years.

During retirement Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband Henry and their close friends. She was also a member of the Mazda Miata club, where she and Henry shared many great adventures.

Pauline was a devout Catholic, she was an active member of the St Cecilia’s parish in Ashland where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Pauline was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She cherished every moment with her family. In addition to her husband Henry, Pauline is survived by 4 children Debby Archambault of Manchester, NH; Jeffrey Slopek of Albuquerque, NM; Peggy Santolucito of Franklin, MA and Christopher Slopek of Weymouth, MA. Her 10 Grandchildren, Jacqui Delude, Danette Labrecque and her husband Nate, Alyssa Aquilino and her husband Mark; Michael Santolucito and his wife Melissa, Brian Santolucito and his Fiancé Katrina Katsoulis & Nicole Santolucito; Steffen Slopek, Jennifer Slopek, Jeffrey Slopek and his wife Kimberly, Jessica Slopek and her Fiancé Chris Martinez and her 6 Great Grandchildren, Haley Delude , Anthony Aquilino, Jamari & Joelle Fenton, Emery Martinez and Elizabeth Santolucito. She is predeceased by her daughter Laurie Slopek, her 2 sisters Charlene Klein and Marcy Hancock and her Son-In-Law Peter Santolucito.

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m.Wednesday August 25 at Matarese Funeral Home 325 Main Street in Ashland.

A Funeral Mass will take place Thursday August 26 at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church 54 Esty Street in Ashland, with urn burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
