ASHLAND – The 4th Annual CultureFest at The Corner Spot in Ashland features dance, music, food, and fun.

Crocodile River Music was first on the stage and provided a rhythmic beat that set the vibe for the entire afternoon. They were followed by Drum Nomads.

Families had picnic and clapped and danced along with the performances.

Afterwards, Trade Route Dance Collective staged an world-infused performances that features traditional Middle eastern belly dancing with African inspired and Spanish inspired moves.

The crowd was awed by the sword dance.

They were followed by Chhandika, a Kathak dance troupe that told stories, including one of a boy defeating a river serpent.

The final performances were popular children’s performer Stacey Peasley and an Irish band playing Celtic music.

Organizers, which included the Ashland Cultural Council, and Hopkinton Center for the Arts, had stations along the corner spot.

Food trucks made sure no one was hungry during the event. There were sandwiches and amazing duck fat fries from Kith & Kin, grilled corn and crab cakes from the Art of Umani, ice cream from the Ulhman’s truck, and a decanted wine camper.
