FRAMINGHAM – Police officers arrested a Framingham woman, after she struck an officer with her vehicle twice early Friday morning, July 23, said police.
Police arrested the woman at Central & Water streets at 12:20 a.m., after receiving a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Leigh Street.
Arrested was Jennifer Gallant, 37, of 126 jean Street of Framingham.
She was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (vehicle), failure to stop for a motor officers, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to give or giving a false name to a police officer.
“While attempting to speak to Gallant she drove away, striking an officer twice with the motor vehicle,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens. Gallant was “eventually pulled over and placed under arrest.”
The officer was not injured, said Lt. Mickens.
