TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA – Alabama swimming and diving saw 30 men and women earn College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar-America honors in 2021, it was announced this week. The Crimson Tide’s combined men’s and women’s total ranked second nationally.

Halia Bower of Framingham received Honorable-Mention accolades.

A Framingham High graduate, she was also a state champion diver.

The Alabama women totaled 16 honors, including nine first-team and seven honorable-mention accolades. The men’s team earned 14 honors, including seven first-team and seven honorable-mention certificates.

The Tide women posted a program-best fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships on the way to earning a 3.57 team grade point average. The UA men’s team earned its seventh consecutive top-15 national finish while posting a 3.59 team GPA.

The first team recognizes student-athletes who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and earned an invitation to their respective NCAA Championships. Honorable mention goes to those with a 3.5 or better GPA who have achieved an NCAA “B” standard.

Crimson Tide 2021 CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

  • For the women, Kalia Antoniou, Gracie Felner, Morgan Liberto, Tanesha Lucoe, Kensey McMahon, Flora Molnar, Diana Petkova, Kaila Wong and Cat Wright earned first-team honors
  • Halia Bower, Sydney Carlson, Jocelyn Fisher, Abby Koczo, Meg Peel, Caitlin Reynera and Ashley Voelkerding earned honorable-mention accolades
  • On the men’s side of the slate, Matt King, Kevin Li, Derek Maas, Jake Marcum, Nicholas Perera, Colton Stogner and Eric Stelmar were selected to the first team
  • Cade Auerbach, Cam Auerbach, Christopher O’Connor, Kacper Piotrowski, Alex Robinson, Andrew Shea and Riley VanMeter earned honorable-mention recognition
