FRAMINGHAM – Mass State Police closed the Mass Pike westbound in Framingham Thursday night, July 15 due to a a serious crash near marker 111, around 9 p.m.

Framingham Fire Tower 1 & Ambulance 2 responded to the crash near the Route 9 exit westbound.

Mass State Police said it was a 2-vehicle crash.

A man, 44, was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with head, neck, and back pain, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

The road re-opened just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police are investigating.
