“Today families across the country and Commonwealth can breathe a sigh of relief as money begins to fill pockets and lift children out of poverty. This historic investment into families and children is the first step to dramatically reduce child poverty in our country, but it cannot be the last. We must harness the momentum of this enormous achievement, make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent, and ensure every eligible family is receiving this family-supporting, life-changing assistance,” said senator Markey.

n Massachusetts, 1.1 million children will benefit from this expanded Child Tax Credit, 43 percent of whom are children of color
