Who is Certified to Be on the Framingham 2021 Election Ballot?

FRAMINGHAM – SOURCE will publish a running list of individuals who have pulled their nomination papers certified by the City Clerk’s office to be on the 2021 ballot.

If an individual’s name is hyperlinked, it takes you to their candidacy announcement per the SOURCE election policy.

The last day to submit nomination papers is Thursday, July 15.

Framingham will elect Mayor, the entire School Committee, 9 District City Councilors, half the Library Trustees and three of the five Cemetery Trustees in November.

Mayor

If at least three individuals have their papers certified there will be a preliminary election on September 14. The top two candidates in September will appear on the November 2nd ballot.

District 1: Christine Long – certified on June 29.

District 6: Phil Ottaviani Jr. – submitted on July 9 and certified on July 13

District 7: (If three candidates are certified, there will be a preliminary election in September)

  • Joseph Hansberry – submitted July 12 – certified on July 15
  • Leora Rose Mallach – submitted July 12 and certified on July 13

  • Edgardo Torres – submitted on July 14 and certified on July 15
  • Tracey Bryant – certified June 28

SCHOOL COMMITTEE

District 1 – Beverly Hugo – submitted on July 13 and certified on July 15

District 2 – Ricky Finlay – certified June 10

District 3 – Jennifer Moshe – submitted on July 14 and certified on July 15

District 4 – Adam Freudberg – certified July 12

District 5 – Priscila Sousa – submitted on July 13 and certified on July 14

District 6 – Valerie V. Ottaviani – submitted on July 13 and certified on July 14

District 7 – Tiffanie Maskell – submitted July 12 and certified on July 13

District 8 – Jessica Barnhill – submitted on July 14 and certified on July 15

District 9 – William LaBarge – certified June 14

LIBRARY TRUSTEE

There are six 4-year term seats available. Thus far, nine individuals have pulled papers, and eight have been certified to be on the November 2 ballot.

  • Isabella Petroni – certified July 9.
  • Andrew I. Machkasov – did not return papers.
  • Trent Matthew Fortner – certified July 1

  • Heather E.E. Woods – submitted & certified on July 15
  • Leslie White Harvey – submitted on July 13 and certified on July 14

CEMETERY TRUSTEE

There are three 4-year term seats available.
