Traffic Alert: Gas Main Work Continues on Route 126

ASHLAND – Crews continue to work on the Route 126/ Pond Street Revitalization Project in Ashland.

Unfortunately due to the weather this past week, gas main crews crews must continue night work.

Eversource Gas (Mirra Construction) will be doing gas work at the intersection of Eliot/Pond Street at night. The hours of operation are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The contractor will continue to be working between the Holliston Town line and Eliot Street on Route 126.

“They have made substantial progress with the new drainage but the progress is slow due to the tremendous amount of ledge, said the Town of Ashland.

Unfortunately, blasting in this area is not an option, so it is a tedious process.

Crews expect to begin paving this area by mid-August.
