Callahan Center Hosts Gems of Piano Literature on July 20

FRAMINGHAM – The Callahan center will host Gems of Piano Literature on Tuesday, July 20 with pianist Sivan Etedgee.

The event starts at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Pre-registration is required by July 16 by contacting the Center.

This program will highlight the genre known as the “Character Piece,” prevalent in Romantic piano music. Presenter Etedgee will perform a selection of works by the major composers of the era, including Schubert, Felix & Fanny Mendelssohn, Robert & Clara Schumann, Chopin, and Liszt & Brahms.

Etedgee appears frequently as a recitalist, chamber musician, and lecturer, performing for audiences of all ages throughout the year.
